Compliance Analyst

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join a small team as a Compliance Analyst, working closely with and reporting directly to the Chief Compliance Officer. This is a generalist role covering a broad spectrum of Compliance tasks and duties with regular exposure to all teams across the business.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of compliance experience. We will also consider candidates with experience in roles within investment management firms that has given them exposure to, and an understanding of, the investment and/or trading processes. On the job training will be provided.

 

Role Description

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Firm’s overall Compliance function and framework, participating in all aspects of the day-to-day compliance program and ad hoc projects.  This will include but is not limited to:

• Trade and non-trade monitoring and reviews (including electronic communications).
• Regulatory reporting including Long and Short disclosures, Schedule 13 filings, RegData filings.
• Managing various workflows and records around Personal Account Dealing, Gifts and Entertainment, Restricted List, Outside Business Interests, staff certifications, etc.
• Managing staff attestations, including updating certifications, roll-out, review of responses and follow-up, as well as maintenance of logs and records.
• Managing the Firm’s compliance training program, including enrolment, tracking to completion, and records.
• Updating policies and procedures.
• Reviewing and approving marketing materials.
• Assisting with ad hoc projects.
• General Compliance support.

Operations Analyst

Founded in 2005, AKO Capital is a one of Europe’s leading investment partnerships, managing $22bn across European and Global equity funds. We are offering a unique opportunity to a recent graduate to join as an Operations Analyst. This is a generalist role within a small, collegial team offering broad exposure and growth opportunities across the full range of operational functions.

 

Core responsibilities will include the following:

• Daily reconciliation of cash and fund holdings to the records of our funds’ administrator and brokers.
• Working directly with staff at our fund administrator and broker counterparties to resolve discrepancies.
• Daily calculations of fund share prices.
• Cash/Treasury management.
• Foreign exchange hedging.
• Managing corporate actions such as dividends, stock splits and voting the funds’ shares.
• Monitoring margin/counterparty balances held at brokers.
• Calculation of trades for execution by traders.
• Project Work to continuously improve our Back-Office Infrastructure.

In order to ensure operational redundancy across all areas of the business, we encourage cross-training for staff. As such, there will also be opportunities to be involved in other areas of the business including Risk Management, Investor Relations, Accounting and Regulatory Compliance.
